Best Casual Outfit For The Summer.

Maxi dresses might be one of my favorite staples of the summer. This one is so flattering and cute. I go for more of a solid color and tie a knot at the bottom to help elongate my figure since I am on the shorter side. My dress is sold out but I will link a similar style here for you guys. I am currently obsessed with this tan felt hat! This hat will be perfect to extend into the fall. The shoes I am wearing are so cute and comfortable. I feel in love with the espadrille comeback for this season! I will link the shoes here and don’t forget to use code REP15 to take 15% off the shoes.

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure to let me know if you have any questions.

Try On Session-Raelynns Boutique-August

Totally in love with all my finds at Raelynns Boutique. If you are interested I will also be posting these on my Instagram stories as well. I will try my best to do try on sessions at least once a month! They are having a sale on a few of the items ill be posting. Don’t forget to use my code REP15 for an extra 15% off your purchase!

Light Denim Jacket. | Striped Jumpsuit

This jumpsuit is on major sale and I am so in love with it! The jumpsuit is so stretchy and lightweight. I am loving it paired with this denim jacket that I am totally obsessed with now. The denim jacket was definitely one of my favorite items from this try-on session. Loving the color and loving that it is so versatile. I literally paired it with everything! I am wearing a large in the denim jacket and a medium in the jumpsuit.

White lace cami | Light Denim Jacket | Maxi Skirt

I know fall is coming but living in Indiana you don’t know what tomorrow is going to be like. This midi skirt has an elastic waist band so it is so comfy. I paired it with a white solid cami. Side note- I have such a hard time finding camis to fit me so I was very pleased with this one. I am wearing a large in everything!

White Dress

When I tried this on I thought to myself I can not live without this dress. I was utterly and completely obsessed. Off course I had to take it home! It is also on sale for less than $30. Wearing a large in the dress.

Sweater

This sweater is adorable. I am loving this cobalt blue color!! It also comes in lavendar. This will be such a great transition piece into fall. So in love that I purchased this one too!!!

Here Comes The Sun Graphic Tee | Happy Vibes Graphic Tee

Saved the best for last. I am so obsessed with graphic tees. Seriously who doesn’t love them? These are not on sale, but I couldn’t resist! I even ended up taking the Here Comes The Sun graphic tee home!! Super adorable!

Thats all for this try on session. Thanks for stopping by.

10 Travel Tips for your first time in Las Vegas!

We recently took a trip to Las Vegas! We have been wanting to take this trip for a few years now and I am so excited we got to do it! I wanted to share with you guys some travel tips I picked up from our stay for your first time in Las Vegas.

Here are 10 Travel Tips for Las Vegas First Timers.

1. Stay on the strip.

If this is your first time going to Vegas… Stay on the Strip. There is nothing like being in the center of Vegas to get the real experience. We stayed at Paris Las Vegas and I cannot think of a better place to stay. Paris is in the middle of the strip, which made walking everywhere a whole lot easier. I know most people want to save money, but there are deals out there. I promise that you won’t regret it. Make sure to grab yourself a Ceasers rewards card. We got lucky enough to even get a night comped!

2. Wear comfortable shoes.

This one is no joke!!! The hotels seem very close to each other, but guys let me tell you, they are not. Comfortable shoes are a must. I made the mistake of not breaking in my shoes before going and it was awful! Do not make the same mistake. There are ways to cut through the malls and casinos to get to the other side of the strip. Do this to stay out of the heat. No matter what though take some comfy shoes. Here is a link for my favorite casual comfortable shoes. Here are links for other shoes that I took on the trip Target, Steve Maddens, and link to a cheaper version of the Steve Maddens found at Rack Room Shoes.

3. Wear comfortable clothes.

Not only do you need comfy shoes but don’t forget the clothes. Don’t forget, Vegas is hot depending on the time of the year you go. Now, I was comfortable most days because I am used to very humid weather. Don’t get me wrong, 109 degrees is still very hot. Make sure to bring light and airy clothing. Skirts, dresses, and shorts will be your best friends! Do not forget to accessorize!! Bring on the cute hats and sunglasses. The sun is hot and you will want some protection. Make sure to bring a crossbody because you do not want to be lugging around a big bag everywhere.

4. Do not miss out on the Freemont Street Experience.

Make sure to go visit Downtown Las Vegas. It is just a quick uber away from the strip. The atmosphere is amazing with tons of lights and live music. If you like to gamble you will also love the cheaper tables. We actually won there! They also have a zipline if you are feeling adventurous.

5. Go see a Las Vegas Show!

You cannot go to Vegas and not go to a show. Come on its Vegas and home to the best shows ever!! We chose to go to Mind Freak and KA – Cirque du Soleil. Guys, I recommend going to one of these but I have heard good things about a lot of others as well. Make sure you use Tix4tonight If you want to save some money.

6. Do not miss out on the free entertainment.

Vegas can be expensive so to save some money stop at the Fountains of Bellagio and enjoy the dancing fountains. They have the fountains on daily every half hour and at night about every 15 minutes. Then, head over to the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. This is home to fresh plants, swans, and horses. Next, stop by The Flamingo to view the Flamingo wildlife habit. They have Flamingos that roam around and have a booth to take pictures with parrots. Then, you can stop to view The Volcano at The Mirage. Finally, if you’re in the mood to shop you can also go to The Forum Shops at Caesers.

7. Do not pay for alcohol.

Do not make the mistake to purchase alcohol. Buying drinks in Vegas can get very expensive. Instead go play some slots or sit at a table and gamble for a little bit and they will start coming around to take your order. Just don’t forget to tip them… you are getting the drinks for free. You can also stop by a CVS and purchase alcohol to carry around with you. The only exception to this rule is if you stop by Fat Tuesday. This is home to some delicious frozen cocktails. The best part is you can always come back for a cheaper refill! Grab your cocktail and take a stroll down to your next destination.

8. Visit the Las Vegas sign.

Make sure you make time to visit the Las Vegas Sign. What’s a trip to Las Vegas without this iconic picture. Make sure to try to go early in the morning or right before sunset. That way you can get the best lighting for your photos. There is also quite a long line so try to get there as early as possible.

9. Do not take pictures with anyone dressed up in costumes.

These people are expecting you to tip them for a picture. Unless you are dying to take a picture with them, move on. Trust me, It’s not worth it.

10. Visit the nearby sites.

We decided to rent a car to go to The Grand Canyon West. This was super easy because our hotel had the rental cars available to pick up in the parking garage (convenient much)!! We stopped a few times along the way, including the Hoover Dam, a scenic view of Lake Mead, and to see the Joshua Trees. Stay tuned for another post about the Grand Canyon that I am super excited to share with you guys! A few places I wanted to visit but didn’t have time include the 7 Magic Mountains, Red Rock Canyon, and The Valley of Fire State Park.

That’s it! Those are my travel tips for visiting Las Vegas for the first time. There are definitely more things I wish I would have done but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time. We plan on going back soon! Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Don’t forget What happens in Vegas…Stays in Vegas… except in this case where I give you all the details. Enjoy your visit!

Hello world!

I’m Vanessa. I have been debating on starting a blog for several years now. Unfortunately, I let fear hold me back because, you know, bloggers are supposed to look “perfect”! Let’s be honest… No one is perfect. I used to be so self-conscious about my looks and size growing up. In the past year, I have grown to love myself for who I am. An important part of this blog is to show you that it is okay to be comfortable in your own skin. I am all about embracing what makes you… YOU! Not only am I excited to be sharing some fashion with you guys (let’s be honest I am a bit of a shopaholic), but this last year I have developed such a huge passion for traveling.

Looking back, one of my main goals for this year was to set aside more time for traveling. This year was the first year my husband and I felt like we had the opportunity to do so. Before that my life felt like it was on repeat. My life consisted of school, work, shower, couch (TV), or sitting at Starbucks with my white chocolate mocha in hand as I crammed for an exam. Starting my career gave me the ability to begin traveling. This brought so much fulfillment into my life. I noticed myself becoming more content and happy with the little things. I am beginning to see a side of myself I never thought I would see. I am way more adventurous and I now like to try new things. Trust me guys I was the let’s eat out at the same restaurant 3x a week kind of girl.  I think traveling has changed my life. The world is so beautiful and I can’t wait to share all the tips and tricks that I pick up along the way.

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my first post!

If you would like to know more about the girl behind the posts check out the About me section!
