Our Christmas Tree Decor: 2019

I wanted to share our Christmas Tree decor for this year. This post probably been posted a while ago but I have been slacking. (I am sorry guys). I am assuming most people at this time already have a tree but If not I am here to give you a few ideas.

The Tree

I purchased our Christmas tree last year after a ton of research for a Flocked tree. This is my first flocked tree and I am completely obsessed! I seriously have no idea how I ever used a green tree. This is a 7.5ft. Pre-Lit Vermont Pine Artificial Christmas Tree, Clear Lights by Ashland. We purchased our first home last year and It is perfect for our 9 inch ceiling.

The Ornaments

I have a wide variety of ornaments on the tree. My ornaments are mostly from Target and Michaels. I wanted to stick with a neutral theme for the tree this year and I obviously had to add pink. If you don’t know yet, I am pretty obsessed with the color pink. My husband says he loves the tree, but its very girly. He is so funny our house is literally all decked out with pink from the living room to the bedroom. Okay so rant over back to the tree.

My main ornaments were purchased last year so I will link a few ornament balls that are similar below.   I have a couple of random pinecones in the colors gold and pink. I am able to link photos below of the gold and silver. If you click on the picture it should take you to the site. The pinecones are only $3. I couldn’t even believe it when I purchased them.

I wanted to add white bulbs this year to give the tree a brighter look so I used 8ct. Iridescent White Glass Ornaments by Ashland®, 2.63″. I also used this 6ct. Assorted Silver & White Shatterproof Ball Ornaments by Ashland® around the tree. I love using the larger ball ornaments  around the tree to hide any of the empty spots around the tree. Another great idea is to add fillers. I have a few filler glitter as well.

The Collar

I purchased This Large Galvanized Tree Collar by Ashland from Michaels.

I hope you guys like my tree. Please let me know if you have any questions.

XOXO Vanessa

For the longest time I stayed away from OTK boots. I’ve always had big thighs so I was always in constant fear of how people would judge me. Let me tell you, when you let go of all those thoughts it can be so freeing. Man was I wrong, they look great on and I am completely obsessed with them.

Most Instagrammable Restaurant In Chicago.

The Hampton Social

I found the cutest restaurant on our weekend getaway to Chicago. My husband and I went for brunch before driving back to Indy on Sunday. To eat I got the Wild Berry French Toast with a side of hash and my husband got the Crab Cake Stack. The food was so good! To drink we got the Frose and let me tell you… yummy. The Hampton Social totally gave me all the Sunday funday vibes. Needless to say it is definitely an Instagramers dream for photo ops. If you are in Chicago and need a place to go I promise this place will not disappoint.

Mom Jeans For The Win!

We had the best time this week going to the Apple Orchard! The weather in Indy is still scorching hot so dressing for Fall has been tough. I am trying my best to get some Fall content out for you guys. The struggle has been real in the 90 degree weather. Sweater weather needs to come soon or we are going to have a problem.

I wanted to share the cutest pair of mom jeans I found at American Eagle. No guys mom jeans are not just for moms. Guys these jeans are on point. I love light wash jeans for the transition to Fall. I know that it’s not for everybody, but I think it looks great with oversized sweaters. These jeans hug all the right places. Normally I feel like mom jeans tend to be a little saggy, but these fit just right. If I am being completely honest with you I have always had the worst time purchasing jeans, but these are the best.

If you are not an avid American Eagle shopper then sign up for the rewards program for every 5 pair of jeans you purchase you get one free. You can also use code GIMMEFALL to get 25% off your purchase right now.

Outfit details here: top, sweater, jeans, shoes, and the hat is sold out so I will link a similar one.

First Day of Fall!

Hey Y’all! I wanted to do a post since yesterday was the first day of Fall! I could go on and on about how much I love fall! I can’t think of anything better than going to the pumpkin patch with an oversized sweater. I am excited for what is to come this Fall and I can’t wait to share it with you guys.

I live in Indy and the weather is still in the 80’s so my go-to outfits are sweaters and shorts. I am obsessed with this sweater from Dottie Couture and it’s on sale right now. Dottie is one of my favorite local boutiques! I also got my felt hat there. If you are looking to save on a felt hat then you will love this one. My shorts are from American Eagle and they are the AE Next Level Stretch… seriously the most comfortable shorts ever!

Don’t mind my front porch that will be next on my list to update for fall. I will keep you guys updated on my progress.
